Research to alleviate our road safety crisis

The AAA, representing Australia’s motoring clubs, has established the Road Safety Research Program (RSRP) to reduce deaths and injuries on Australian roads, which have been steadily rising over the past few years.

About 110 people a month are now dying on Australian roads. Every day, about 100 people are hospitalised for road crash-related injuries.

The RSRP collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders who are working to address critical road safety issues.

The program supports research in identified priority research areas that have strong potential to deliver real road safety benefits.
