AAA Comments on the Industry Commission Draft Report on the Automotive Industry
In our original submission we stated that consumers should have access to quality, affordable vehicles which meet high environmental and safety standards. We recognised that the rate of industry adjustment should be commensurate with the maintenance of a viable and internationally competitive vehicle and component manufacturing industry in Australia.

Roads are an absolutely vital and intrinsic part of national infrastructure. The competitiveness of Australian industry in both overseas and domestic markets is dependent upon rapid and dependable multi-modal transport systems.
