Australia’s Best Cars Announced

25.2.2016

The Australian Automobile Association (AAA) today announced the 15 winners of the 2015 Australia's Best Cars awards.

Australia's Best Cars is the largest independent new car assessment and awards program in Australia. It puts more than 180 vehicles through their paces each year against criteria such as Value for Money, Design and Function, and On the Road Performance.

AAA Chief Executive Michael Bradley said: "Australia's Best Cars is a rigorous and fiercely independent review of the important aspects of new cars in the Australian market.

"The Australia's Best Cars awards program helps give Australian motorists the information they need when they are considering which car is the right one for them. The program is yet another important service the AAA and all the motoring clubs, provide to their members and to every Australian driver,” Mr Bradley said.

Chief Judge of Australia’s Best Cars Mark Borlace said: "It’s always a difficult task to judge the ultimate winners, but as a car enthusiast and someone who wants to ensure Australians get safety, affordability, and a balance of comfort, handling and performance in their new car, I can say it’s a great privilege to be driving and testing these cars. I know my judge colleagues feel the same way.

“Whilst we see the merits in all the winners, the judges agree that the Mazda CX-3 Maxx is a well-rounded package in the affordable Small 2WD SUV under $35,000 category.

“This is a rigorous process and all the winning manufacturers, and indeed the manufacturers of the finalist models, can all be proud of the high quality products they are offering Australian drivers,” Mr Borlace said.
